Religion of Peace Update

There have been a recent series of articles over at LGF that have once again sent me into a rage. Lets start here where a 16 year old girl who was on “trial” in a Sharia court for pre-marital sex (a capital offense in Islamist-backwater-shitholes like Iran). At the conclusion of her trial she was hanged personally by the judge who said that she was not hanged for her offense but because “She had a sharp tongue.” Which is an unforgivable offense in Islamist society as well, she should have just been quiet (oh wait she couldn’t stay quiet as she was forced to defend herself in her trial due to being denied counsel). For those folks who don’t click links or who can’t access the LGF site itself here is an excerpt.

Last Sunday in northern Iran, a 16-year old girl was hanged in public for the crime of having a sharp tongue. (Hat tip: Mentat.)

On Sunday, August 15, a 16-year-old girl in the town of Neka, northern Iran, was executed. Ateqeh Sahaleh was hanged in public on Simetry Street off Rah Ahan Street at the city center.

In her summary trial, the teenage victim did not have any lawyer and efforts by her family to recruit a lawyer was to no avail. Ateqeh personally defended herself.

The judge personally pursued Ateqeh’s death sentence, beyond all normal procedures and finally gained the approval of the Supreme Court. After her execution Rezai said her punishment was not execution but he had her executed for her “sharp tongue”.

Moving on…. Courtesy of Emperor Darth Misha I over at the Anti-Idiotarian Empire we have the charming story of a woman who was forced to marry her rapist to avoid “Muslim shunning”. I wont go into the full detail here as it is quite lengthy but I encourage you to go read it. I submit to you that simply being associated with a religion this vile should make you feel dirtier than an altar boy in a Boston parish after participating in “Bingo Night”.

Rounding out this cavalcade of horror we have Muslim women using their children as human shields in the Imam Ali Shrine in Nejef (the more correct spelling and pronunciation I am told). These women have been brainwashed into allowing Muqtada Al-Sadr to use their kids as pawns in his personal grab for power. Frankly I don’t know how the Islamic states manage positive population growth with this sort of disregard for their own offspring.

The capstone to all of this is an article that borders on the absurd. Go read this article about “the Genesis and Genius of Islam” then come back and tell me how the intellectual elite of this country got this far out of touch with reality.

I have had it with the “Religion of Peace” and all of its adherents. Talk all you like about extremism but you are all culpable in this now. It has gone on too long for you to hide behind your denials. Fix your religion and society or pay the price.

Some are worth convincing, and you realize after a while some others aren't. I can constantly disagree with some people here and still see that they benefit our little community. Others are over-emotional, over-sensitive little snots with little imagination and no sense of humor, poised at any moment to take offense and start a flame war. Brad seems to tolerate them. I wouldn't.

I know two muslims at work and even they agree that the mullahs in Iran dont have their heads screwed on straight and that the government over there is out of touch with modern times. The are trying to become US citizens and like living in the United States with its many freedoms very much. Iran is a hellhole and Salman Rushdie said it best and they hate him over there. I guess the truth hurts...

Iran is actually only the source for some of the quoted material. It is simply one fo the more agressively repressive nations under the banner of Islam as a political system as well as a religion. (They should probably just stick with the latter as with any other religion)

There are two sadnesses for two different things within me that needed to be written here. First of all, it's important to inform that i'm a 22 years old woman and having my english only from my reading and my official school learning not as my mother-tounge that my english may not be as well as my ideas inside;but hopefully at least someone could make a tail of what i'm writing about.
I'm sad for the world right now, when there's nothing for a start of a news except of the extremists beheading civilians, children holding guns on the street, woman died with the baby still folded in her arm-not alive, a children being hung for having a 'sharp tounge'. After a news on the local tv showing an american nicholas berg being beheaded, i fell into a high fever for four days and someone told me he can't believe that i've made myself so sick for thing such as that, something that happened far far away from me. Anyway, what can i say-it's funny how poeple's minds work.
I've been brought up as a muslim and have known really well what Islam's 5 Pillars are. I felt extremely sad while settling my pair of eyes on the title written by the hands of greywar, who could think of every brilliant and right things to write but not to respect one's holy religion and beliefs and telling the world that Islam's Five Pillars are; Rape, Death,Mysogyny, Suicide, and Hate. After reading that, a muslim who is a muslim might just will feel sad and write back some meaningful replies but a muslim who can't be a muslim while he's an extremist will has more maps and more plans in his head for his future act for some people, who might didn't even written wrongly about the 5 pillars of Islam.
What good could it do if you change the Islam's 5 pillars and put it as the headline of your article? That action my friend greywar, is potential to strike something negative among people with different relegions. I can't think of any other thing that could generate hate other than hate itself. It's clear that writing the Islam's 5 Pillar's that way is the act of an extremist- sorry to tell you that after all the things you had done in order to fight terrorism. Please make yourself enable to define clearly what is Islam and what is Stupidity among humans. Be fair so others including me can be fair to you - from the eye of a muslim.

How many times have you risked your life life for political change little_whip. How can you call these people cowards. Many Iranians already have given their lives trying better their country. Who are you to accuse them of cowardice because they haven't all risked their lives and the lives of their families. You live in a free society where you can say whatever you want and not have to fear that people will come and kill your family for it. It's real easy for you to blame someone for not taking a tremendous risk that you yourself have never taken.

It's real easy for you to blame someone for not taking a tremendous risk that you yourself have never taken.

There is a reason that little_whip does not have to do so matt, our culture has already thrown off it's shackles and hundreds of thousands of Americans were killed and are being killed to make sure it stays that way. We as a culture already figured this out and laid the groundwork for the rest of the world. If they follow it great... If not well that is on their heads. We already do more for the rest of the world than any other woorld power has done ever and yes I include Rome in that.

on Aug 31, 2004
Yes, that's true. America did throw off its opressors a long time ago. But you can not blame every individual person for not standing up to a tyrant. There are a brave few who do, and if enough can to start a revolution, then the rest will follow. But it's hard to be the one who condemns a tyrant, knowing he and his family will be killed. Most of us, if were in that situation, would probably be silent.
on Aug 31, 2004
And going through what you've been through, would you call someone a coward if they decided they didn't want them and their families to go through that?

"But it is a problem we cant fix for you. Muslims have to fix this themselves, or as greywar said, face the consequences."
-little_whip.

I don't think that little_whip is standing in a real world right now because he's just busy trying to shoot back great answers to other people's opinion . This PROBLEM that you had refered to is clearly if possible not a problem of the Muslims' only. It's not just about Muslims killing Muslims. 'Muslims have to fix this themselves or as gerywar said, face the consequences.';Consequences in this matter aren't just concerning the Muslims from my point of view; looking at the 3000+ died in the WTC and the civilians getting slayered day after day were mostly nonMuslims. I don't think that little_whip deserves a place for this conversation as he's really not up to it- he might be busy running for a crime he didn't commited.
Those Muslims wont' become extremists for no reason. Regardless of how nonsense and sickening the reasons are for you and for me, they are strong enough to be the reasons for them to act in that horrible way, taking lives of other human being and live on without a ting of guilt and say they do it for their faith.
You live in front of the computer most of yourlife and getting yourself followed, photograph, and spied upon (you should be greatful, you sounds like a movie character) and said you 'have been there' whatever that means. Those people who are extreme in their doings might have had gone through something a lot lot more worst than yours, i dare to say that it's surely true . They might be orphans who had seen their mothers and fathers being slaughtered or shot in the first place, and has anyone ever told you or taught you that the cause of terror is terror itself? Don't be selfish (unless you're doing a parttime job selling fish) by saying this is the Muslims problem not yours. We stand here talking about humanity not about Muslims losing their wits while others stand nobly and they didn't do anything wrong that had worsen the problem. You and some of others like to judge things in terms of your favour and you'll never know that it might be one of the reasons for this madness , inasmuch as a human being will feel betrayed once they were judged in the favour of others...

-The Simple Life of Muhammad-

If we compare the life of Muhammad before his mission as a prophet and his life after he began his mission as a prophet, we will conclude that it is beyond reason to think that Muhammad was a false prophet, who claimed prophethood to attain material gains, greatness, glory, or power.

Before his mission as a prophet, Muhammad had no financial worries. As a successful and reputed merchant, Muhammad drew a satisfactory and comfortable income. After his mission as a prophet and because of it, he became worse off materially. To clarify this more, let us browse the following sayings on his life:

Aa’isha, Muhammad’s wife, said, “O my nephew, we would sight three new moons in two months without lighting a fire (to cook a meal) in the Prophet’s houses.” Her nephew asked, “O Aunt, what sustained you?” She said, “The two black things, dates and water, but the Prophet had some Ansar neighbors who had milk-giving she-camels and they used to send the Prophet some of its milk.”1

Sahl Ibn Sa’ad, one of Muhammad’s companions, said, “The Prophet of God did not see bread made from fine flour from the time God sent him (as a prophet) until he died.”2

Aa’isha, Muhammad’s wife, said, “The mattress of the Prophet , on which he slept, was made of leather stuffed with the fiber of the date-palm tree.”3

Amr Ibn Al-Hareth, one of Muhammad’s companions, said that when the Prophet died, he left neither money nor anything else except his white riding mule, his arms, and a piece of land which he left to charity.4

Muhammad lived this hard life till he died although the Muslim treasury was at his disposal, the greater part of the Arabian Peninsula was Muslim before he died, and the Muslims were victorious after eighteen years of his mission.

Is it possible that Muhammad might have claimed prophethood in order to attain status, greatness, and power? The desire to enjoy status and power is usually associated with good food, fancy clothing, monumental palaces, colorful guards, and indisputable authority. Do any of these indicators apply to Muhammad ? A few glimpses of his life that may help answer this question follow.

Despite his responsibilities as a prophet, a teacher, a statesman, and a judge, Muhammad used to milk his goat, mend his clothes, repair his shoes, help with the household work, and visit poor people when they got sick. He also helped his companions in digging a trench by moving sand with them. His life was an amazing model of simplicity and humbleness.

Muhammad’s followers loved him, respected him, and trusted him to an amazing extent. Yet he continued to emphasize that deification should be directed to God and not to him personally. Anas, one of Muhammad’s companions, said that there was no person whom they loved more than the Prophet Muhammad , yet when he came to them, they did not stand up for him because he hated their standing up for him,1 as other people do with their great people.

Long before there was any prospect of success for Islam and at the outset of a long and painful era of torture, suffering, and persecution of Muhammad and his followers, he received an interesting offer. An envoy of the pagan leaders, Otba, came to him saying, “...If you want money, we will collect enough money for you so that you will be the richest one of us. If you want leadership, we will take you as our leader and never decide on any matter without your approval. If you want a kingdom, we will crown you king over us...” Only one concession was required from Muhammad in return for that, to give up calling people to Islam and worshipping God alone without any partner. Wouldn’t this offer be tempting to one pursuing worldly benefit? Was Muhammad hesitant when the offer was made? Did he turn it down as a bargaining strategy leaving the door open for a better offer? The following was his answer: {In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful} And he recited to Otba the verses of the Quran 41:1-38. The Following are some of these verses:

A revelation from (God), the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful; a Book whereof the verses are explained in detail; a Quran in Arabic, for people who know, giving good news and warning, yet most of them turn away, so they do not listen. (Quran, 41:2-4)

On another occasion and in response to his uncle’s plea to stop calling people to Islam, Muhammad’s answer was as decisive and sincere: {I swear by the name of God, O Uncle!, that if they place the sun in my right-hand and the moon in my left-hand in return for giving up this matter (calling people to Islam), I will never desist until either God makes it triumph or I perish defending it.}

Muhammad and his few followers did not only suffer from persecution for thirteen years but the unbelievers even tried to kill Muhammad several times. On one occasion they attempted to kill him by dropping a large boulder, which could barely be lifted, on his head. Another time they tried to kill him by poisoning his food. What could justify such a life of suffering and sacrifice even after he was fully triumphant over his adversaries? What could explain the humbleness and nobility which he demonstrated in his most glorious moments when he insisted that success is due only to God’s help and not to his own genius? Are these the characteristics of a power-hungry or a self-centered man?

(- to make some people see that the Arabs stubborness have everything to do with themselves, they were already that way (as bad as those slayers, today) before Islam. Try to be informed from different sources and you'll be able to see and make things a little bit easier for all of us- : ) -Just starting-

See.. how can a simple line of sentences could create such a rage in somebody, that she made so much effort to convey it in the written message. If God had put you on the desert with an appropriate condition in the first place, you might as well ended up slayering people around you are that harsh.
