We learned these rules in kindergarten people!

This morning I listened to NPR's coverage of the "hearings" over the mistaken medal placement of Paul Hamm. Paul himself had some sound bites and stated that he would "fight to keep his medal". Hey Paul how about struggling to earn  the fucking medal next time? I can't believe it takes hearings to sort this out! They should have just had a Romanian powerlifter go over and take the damn thing from him and stick the silver medal he did earn up his tear stained little ass.

For fucks sake what happened is the same thing as if they had been approaching the awards pedestal and the greeter accidentally directed the wrong guy to stand on the Gold spot. Would that guy feel justified in saying "Well thats what they said! I should keep it!"? I think not. Why this assclown thinks it will do him, the country, or his sport any good to carry on like a spoiled two year old is beyond my ability to comprehend.

To Paul Hamm: Look fuckpole, you won't be getting any endorsement bucks as "the guy who got a medal he didn't fucking win". Quit pissing in the sandbox out of spite and give the other kid back what is his.

People are fallible, and they make mistakes

Exactly and when the mistakes are found you fucking correct them. You don't sulk and bitch about how it isn't your fault. Once again, fuck Hamm.

The sport is not decided upon merit

What objective steps would you have then?

You appeal then and there

Leaving the logical step to be to just lodge an appeal after every score? Think again.

Next time greywar, before calling the pot whiny, make sure the kettle is not squealing.

So I am whining how? Sorry i missed that in your impeccable logic.

Have a nice fisking.

Greywar, you need zinc or somthing. This is the weirdest opinion I have ever seen from you. SUre, the guy sounds flouncy and all, but you don't give back one of America's gold medals just because somebody made a mistake.

If this were powerlifing, and they guy was a bass and not falsetto, and the other country was France, you'd be patriotic about it. You don't like this guy because of how he sounds. If Hamm loses his medal God help us in the next olympics when all the sissy anti-American nations and their judges start whining...

I'm sorry, i've stepped in here late and I'm confused, since when did this become about patriotism? It seemed to me that this whole thing was about a decision at a sporting event. Where does Greywar's Patriotism come into account? Is he a bad American because he wants Hamm to give up his medal?

As a someone that knows Greywar, I can assure you hes fairly patriotic (that whole military for 12 years thing was a tip off).

The argument, as it appered to me, was one on sportsmanship and rulings. Does it really matter in the grand scheme of things if American won one more or less medals?

If it were about sportsmanship and rulings I would agree. It is really about the fact that Hamm is effeminate, though. LIke I said, if this was a big hairy powerlifter the thread would have been about the guy trying to take his medal. America doesn't send male gymnasts to the olypics to be brawny, we send them there to win gold medals.

grey's been listening to to much NPR. What next, Air America?

Actually it has nothing to do with Hamms effeminate nature outside of claiming a medal he didn't earn. Sorry if the "bitch" was interpreted that way. It was "bitch" as in "whiny bitch" not "flouncing nancy" and it has absolutely nothing to do with patriotism as Pidge correctly observed.

"if for no other reason than that his voice sounds like his balls never dropped"

the very root of my article right there.

The balls never dropping is an attack of his sportmanship.. not just because he likes a little trucker cock on the weekends:)
