I agree. While I watched coverage I just wanted to scream at the TV "there are people on that plane!" There relatives could have been watching that footage. Entertainment news is great but sometimes it goes too far. I thought Laura what's her face was better but, man, she can do no wrong in my eyes .

Did ya notice they kept coming back to that uber melodramtic shot of the tire burning off? Over, and over, and over, and over, and.................

"Reporters Gone Wild"--sad sick vultures. They had a live feed on MSNBC for over an hour while the aircraft burned fuel; all the time the expert pilots MSNBC had kept telling them that it was a pretty routine IFE. That didn't matter to MSNBC, just in case the experts were wrong. I will say that the pilot did a damn good job of flaring out the aircraft to bleed the speed off when he landed

IFE happens all the time.
AB blowout, taking the barrier, going down the runway like a pogo stick because the Right MLG blew. No drama, just follow the checklist.
Had one engine shell out in Sigonella, Had to dump fuel over the beaches (ha-ha) before landing on one engine.
There was this one time in Tunisia...

I was mildly bothered by the live coverage of the landing because it was a commercial flight with passengers whose families had known for hours what was going on, but it was a thing of beauty to watch from a technical standpoint - one for the "pilot textbooks" as a demo.

I could have sworn they sounded disappointed when it landed safely. It was only later I read that the passengers were watching the coverage on live TV too! How creepy is that?

You can tell the media is biased because they didn't blame this on the true source of all in flight emergencies, hurricanes, and all other disasters: GW Bush!

Why won't they tell us the truth!

And, did anyone report if FEMA was there with food and water? Why weren't they at the airport? Why? Why?

Have you ever heard the expression, "If it bleeds, it leads"?

BTW did you know that there are photos of GW Bush, with a wrench in hand, tampering with the jet right before take off.
