Just got a new scam that made it through the spam filter. This one looks like a delivery failure notification but it is from an email that you never sent. Wose still is that it has a semi legit link at the bottom to an article at Der Speigel. All the Kenyan email addresses on it suggest something nefarious though...  A Sample...

Oddly the link was to a review of a movie about the death of a Muslim a woman. Not sure what the goal of this spam is really but it is a new one... I wouldn't suggest emailing any of these folks unless of course you want to mes with them...

I got one of those scams today asking me to verify my Amazon.com account with credit card info, etc. They even said a scan of a picture ID might be necessary.

Link looked legit until I did a mouse over. Not that I would have clicked on the link anyway. I would have just went directly to Amazon.com to see if they need anything from me.

yeah, i got one yesterday. It was a MAILER-DA.. one, like, saying I sent a message and it was returned. But the domain was not hotmail, so I deleted it.

ALSO: Anyone using hotmail, there are mayjor "Julie" e-mails pouring in a bunch of my hotmail accounts and other ppl's inboxes. MSN detects them as junk tho so thats good

I also got a "subscription failure" or "subscription complete" from loboco.com or something like that (a non-existing site).

Ahhhh spam, viruses, worms, trojans, adware, spyware, wat shall we do with you.

I get "important" mails all the time from banks, asking me to verify my account info, even though I've never done business with them.

That spam you received comes from a new german virus based on the 'Sober' virus. It uses all contacts stored in Outlook Express on infected computer to send messages hostile to foreigners. I have a german email address on which I'm currently topping at 600 of virus mails per day... This reawakens old nordic genes that tell me to go get my axe and behead a few of the authors of those texts
