Air Force EOD is outside our showers digging out the remains of a mortar some jackhole lobbed at us this morning. No injuries and no damage... Now a letter to the mortar team:

Missed me, smacktards!

I got up early for the shower today and if they wanted my office they were about 50 yards off. Also it helps to fuze your rounds correctly. Sturgee could give you some advice on that maybe...

I guess Reiki-House will have to keep hoping that his "peaceful" Islamists get better with time... Oh wait they can't because the team that threw this one was atomized thanks to Fire Finder Radar! Suck some sweet counter-battery fire, bitchcakes!

I won't profess to be an expert at mortar munitions, since I've never even laid hands on them. All my experience is with 155mm 100lb "Big Poppa" rounds, and those had separate fuses that you had to screw into the top of the round. If I'm correct, mortar rounds have fuses as an integral part of the round, and the fuse just needs to be set to the correct setting. All you do is crank the little screw at the top of the round until it's set where you want. If you want an air burst, you calculate the time it will take for the round to get to target, subtract a second or so, and then fire away. When you don't know how to do math, you simply set it to the idiot setting PD, which stands for Point Detonating. This ensures that even if you can't do any math, you have the ability to kill the MoFo's at or near the immediate point of impact of your round....not brain surgery....

Seriously, I am thankful for outstanding people such as yourself who can get shot at while showering and laugh it off. I've never had such an opportunity but am willing to bet I would not react as well. I think there would be a lot of "freaking out" involved if it were me but that is why I am a stay-at-home mom and not in the military

(Not the only reason but a pretty good one).
