Singer Dave was promoted to Sergeant today. Congrats friend. Aside from "Daddy"... "Sergeant" is the appelation I am proudest to wear. A Time honored traditon accompanies the title despite it's recent spoilage. Be proud, do what you can, don't sweat the tiny shit, and remember that you work for the soldiers while the soldiers work for the country... (congrats as well to newly promoted SPC Eye Candy...)

     Singer's young daughter was present for his promotion today. She was well behaved and smiled at everyone. Both in appearance and demeanor she brought mine and Xtine's daughter K. to mind. I miss her every moment and meeting Dave's daughter's gaze made me fight tears throughout the ceremony. Afterwards I simply blamed it on the rising sun.
