Update : Since this article assumed knowledge of the situation between the Janjaweed and non-muslim blacks I will provide this wiki link. This is not "just" a rascism thing folk.

I have covered the exploits of Islamism in other articles before (ROP I, and ROP II) and yet Islam can in fact set the bar even lower than these egregious examples.

Arab women singers complicit in rape, says Amnesty report

While African women in Darfur were being raped by the Janjaweed militiamen, Arab women stood nearby and sang for joy, according to an Amnesty International report published yesterday. The songs of the Hakama, or the "Janjaweed women" as the refugees call them, encouraged the atrocities committed by the militiamen.

The chief said that the Arab women also racially insulted women from the village: "You are gorillas, you are black, and you are badly dressed."

The Janjaweed have abducted women for use as sex slaves, in some cases breaking their limbs to prevent them escaping, as well as carrying out rapes in their home villages, the report said.

The militiamen "are happy when they rape. They sing when they rape and they tell that we are just slaves and that they can do with us how they wish", a 37-year-old victim, identified as A, is quoted as saying in the report, which was based onmore than 100 testimonies from women in the refugee camps in neighbouring Chad.

A word to Muslims everywhere?repeated incidents like this cause me to believe that moderate Muslims are not the ?A href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/sudan/story/0,14658,1264901,00.html">Silent Majority?I outlined here, but rather the silent minority. If you are the majority then grab your faith by whatever protrusion is handy and stop the bullshit going on in your own communities! Don’t bitch to us about we deal with these problems if you won’t fix it yourselves.

If you take an active hand in governing your own rogue elements then the rest of the planet won’t have cause to hate you. Put up or shut up! (oh wait you are already quiet about all of this)

That sounds more like racism than a result of religious choice. It is self-evident that these Arab men and women were not proper Muslims, as rape, even/especially of infidels, is expressly forbidden in the Qur'an.

True that it sounds more like racism, from what greywar posted here, and there doesn't seem to be any instances of the words "islam" or "muslim" on the page he quotes.
But, where is the part in the Quran that says "especially" infidels?

Muslim armies are supposed to kill pagans wherever they despoil the land. Raping them is extremely demeaning to the Muslim men involved, quite apart from being a sin. I'll admit here I haven't read it in the Qur'an, but a Muslim cleric in Medan told me that raping pagans was especially bad because they were unclean, and that Muhammad told his faithful it was doubly bad to do so - it may just be an unsound hadith though. I should have explained fully what I meant with the proper references. My apologies.

True that it sounds more like racism

I submit that in this case the racism is tied directly to the Islamism. Conversion alone would not satisfy these guys... unless you are Muslim (their way only) AND Arab you get the old knife in the neck...

those two things alone tell the story of how depraved a religion it is. Don't rape because it is demeaning to the rapist? What the fuck?

If this was true then there would be no Druze, no non-European Jews, no Coptics, no Indonesian Buddhists/Animists/Christians/Muslims even. The fact that these people exist is evidence that militant Islam is a new invention born of politics, not religion. Religion is the justification, not the cause.

Well, I've been Googling for something akin to what cactoblasta said, but I guess I'm off on my search skills tonight (*cough* Old Crow *cough*). But I'm still not seeing the Islamic connection to the story, unless I squint real hard... still not buying it completely, grey. Maybe I don't have enough info on the background (of the area, the tribes involved, whateva).
