Why Men Didn't Invent Christmas
Published on December 24, 2004 By greywar In Current Events
Men obviously did not come up with the Christmas tradition of gift wrap. Well at least this man didn't. My attempts at wrapping gifts fare slightly worse than the Boondock Saints' Tourette's afflicted bartender would if he were to read Sylvia Plath poems to a group of Carmelite nuns. I think women learn this skill while still in the womb as even 4 year old girls do a better job of it than this 31 year old man. Merry Christmas. Site Meter

Exactly. What would we do without you men to so stuff like that? What would you men do if you didn't have us chickies to wrap presents ? The world would be full of un-moved furniture, unopened pickle jars and sloppily wrapped gifts is we didn't have each other.
I see a beautiful future together for men who can't wrap and women who can....

AHA!  It is a conspiracy!

Ok, not like we can fight it!

Give me your pickle jar, and I will let you wrap the presents! !

I'm happy when the box is 100% covered.

I take it that: #1 you are male, and #2, you are not married!  More power to you!

Box wrapping also requires things that men normally don't have in the house like Scotch Tape (plenty of duct tape but noooo can't use that...) and scissors! To trim the paper down for this box I ended up using a steak knife and hiding the mangled edge as the bottom (Would have used the exacto knife on a hard surface (like the concrete outside) but the linoleum floor just wouldn't have looked the same after).

yea, those stupid female rules!  Guess we will have to live with them!

(BTW, what is wrong with Duct tape????)

Don't worry with new technology for people in a hurry and apparently now for men who should not have to stress on wrapping things they now have the decorative gift bags for every occasion. They come in all sizes and colors. Although they can get to be fairly pricey for a bag that probably cost all of 8 or9 cents to make they are a wonderful lifesaver for many. Don't fear the gift bags are here!!! At any local department store, gift or card shop or in your closet put away. You know the one I got a few months ago from my husband for my Birthday. Have a Merry Christmas.
